EzeChek was founded in 2016 to conduct research into the development of a new generation of self-diagnostic tests for allergens.
Globally, more than 250 million people suffer from a food allergy with more than 17 million people suffering from food allergies in Europe alone.
Our goal was to design a new analysis process to enable the creation of a new generation of easy to use, low cost and rapid capability tests. Such tests will enable people to check against contamination and reduce the possibility of acute and life threatening reactions.
In the summer of 2021, we filed a PCT with the International Patent Office for our a Analyte Detection Method with the aims of bringing a new product lines for health diagnostics in 2022.
Along side our work in the health diagnostics field, and our work in the pandemic response, we felt the need to use our skills and expertise to help the pandemic response. We developed artificial intelligence tehcnology with the capability to detect COVID-19 in X-ray scans. With this platform, we plan to expand to various other health diagnostic recognition capabilities.
We believe that the diagnostics field requires newer and more scalable technologies in order to meet the current demands faced in the field. Our technologies enable such new, low-cost, more scalable solutions.
Amandeep is a graduate from the University of Toronto with a degree in Economics and Political Science who has worked with and founded multiple technology start-ups. Diagnosed with Celiac Disease himself, cross-contamination of food products became a constant issue. With a lack of quick and affordable testing options, this led him to co-founding EzeChek with the goal of developing an innovative and adaptable solution for detecting allergens in foods. In addition to this, his work other technology start-ups led him to develop an A.I. models designed for health diagnostics.
Karen completed her Bachelors, MSC and PhD at the University of Toronto in the department of biochemistry. With a combined 11 years of wet lab bench experience from her education, specializing in biochemistry and cell biology, Karen has worked across several research institutes in the GTA including University of Toronto, Sick Kids Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital. Karen is responsible for overseeing the scientific research and development for EzeChek products.
After studying for his BSc in Maths and Physics, he then went on to complete a PhD in Physics at the University of Reading in 1978. Gurbakhash is a serial entrepreneur and has launched a number of ventures within the technology sector and is currently CEO of the BPC group of companies.
Peter has extensive senior management and board level experience across the events, digital and hospitality sectors. Alongside EzeChek, Peter was the founder of Third Space Solutions and the XEC Lounge experience which is based at the NEC. He is responsible for the sales and marketing of the EzeChek product portfolio and partnership development.
After studying for his BSc in Physics, he began working with and founding multiple technology start-ups. Alvin leads the technical development of EzeChek's A.I. platform.
